Objectives

This assessment measures if you can...

  1. identify food-related vocabulary
  2. identify basic vocabulary
  3. identify numbers
  4. use the correct grammatical forms
  5. identify culture practices and products

Instructions

On this practice assessment, you will have 33 questions.

The practice assessment is 0 points, but the mid-term exam will be 70 points. All questions are randomly selected from these question pools:

  • culture
  • general food vocabulary
  • breakfast foods
  • fruits
  • vegetables
  • partititive
  • grammar
  • numbers
  • no excuse vocabulary

The assessment is mainly multiple choice, but there are some multiple select, matching, and multiple dropdown questions.

This assessment was designed to take into account multiple facets of what you know:

  • 22% culture
  • 31% grammar
  • 29% identifying vocabulary/phrases
  • 14% no excuse vocabulary
  • 4% a mix of categories

Note: If you see an error, please report it to me! I make mistakes and don't want to penalize you for something I did incorrectly!

 Materials

The only allowed materials you can use on this assessment are:

  • headphones / earbuds
  • the quiz itself
  • your brain

Use of any outside materials, notes, talking to others, including the use of websites such as WordReference, is prohibited. Per the PCHS Student Handbook, "Students who choose to use unauthorized material, or cheat, when taking an academic assessment are subject to academic and possible disciplinary consequences."

Time

This PRACTICE assessment is not timed. But on the mid-term you will have 45 minutes to answer the questions.

You have unlimited attempts on this practice assessment.

You will be able to see correct/incorrect answers on this after you submit. You will not be able to see the answers after your first attempt. 

You will see if you got the question correct or incorrect.
