Objectives

This assessment measures if you can...

  1. identify food-related vocabulary
  2. identify family and chore vocabulary
  3. identify basic vocabulary
  4. identify numbers
  5. use the correct grammatical forms
  6. identify culture practices and products

Instructions

On this practice assessment, you will have 49 questions.

All questions are randomly selected from these question pools:

  • culture
  • vocabulary, including but not limited to:
    • general food vocabulary
    • breakfast foods
    • fruits
    • vegetables
    • numbers
    • no excuse vocabulary
  • word/phrase/sentence recognition
  • grammar, including but not limited to:
    • partititive
    • verbs
    • sentence structure

The assessment is mainly multiple choice, but there are some multiple select, matching, and multiple dropdown questions.

The practice assessment will have similar questions to the mid-term assessment, but will not be exactly the same.

This assessment was designed to take into account multiple facets of what you know:

  • 17% culture
  • 35% grammar
  • 32% identifying vocabulary/phrases
  • 12% no excuse vocabulary
  • 4% a mix of categories

Note: If you see an error, please report it to me! I make mistakes and don't want to penalize you for something I did incorrectly!

 Materials

The only allowed materials you can use on this assessment are:

  • headphones / earbuds
  • the quiz itself
  • your brain

Use of any outside materials, notes, talking to others, including the use of websites such as WordReference, is prohibited on the final assessment. Per the PCHS Student Handbook, "Students who choose to use unauthorized material, or cheat, when taking an academic assessment are subject to academic and possible disciplinary consequences."

Time

This PRACTICE assessment is not timed. But on the mid-term you will have 45 minutes to answer the questions.

Assessment

The practice assessment is 0 points, but the final exam will be 80 points.

You have unlimited attempts on this practice assessment.
