Answer these questions about the video to the best of your ability.

Objectives

Given a listening/video, this quiz measures how well you can:

  1. understand spoken French.
  2. identify key words, main ideas, supporting details, and organizational features.
  3. infer the author's perspective or purpose.
  4. guess the meaning of words using context.
  5. make comparisons between your culture and the target culture.
  6. make connections between cultural products/practices and perspectives.

Directions

The assessment has is mainly multiple choice, but there are some multiple select.

You will have 28 questions, randomly selected from these question pools:

  • 10 key word questions
  • 3 main idea questions
  • 12 supporting detail questions
  • 1 organizational feature question
  • 4 guessing meaning from context questions
  • 2 author's purpose/perspective questions
  • 2 inference questions
  • 3 cultural products/practices questions
  • 2 cultural perspectives questions

 Materials

The only allowed materials you can use on this assessment are:

  • headphones / earbuds
  • the quiz itself
  • your brain

Use of any outside materials, notes, talking to others, including the use of websites such as WordReference, is prohibited. Per the PCHS Student Handbook, "Students who choose to use unauthorized material, or cheat, when taking an academic assessment are subject to academic and possible disciplinary consequences."

Time

This quiz is timed. You have 45 minutes to answer the questions.
