Part of learning a language is looking at the handwriting and being able to copy the word. Let's look at some French handwriting and vegetable vocab!
Objectives
Given a listening/video, this quiz measures how well you can:
- copy the word
- correctly spell vocabulary
- identify key words

There are 8 fill in the blank questions.

Pay attention to the handwriting and the pronunciation. If you're unsure about what the handwriting is, listen to the narration. Then write your best guess!
Materials
The only allowed materials you can use on this assessment are:
- headphones / earbuds
- the quiz itself
- your brain
Use of any outside materials, notes, talking to others, including the use of websites such as WordReference, is prohibited. Per the PCHS Student Handbook, "Students who choose to use unauthorized material, or cheat, when taking an academic assessment are subject to academic and possible disciplinary consequences."
Time
This quiz is timed. You have 20 minutes to answer the questions.
Assessment
Correctly spell the vocabulary listed in English. Each question is 1 point. Your quiz is for 8 points. Spelling and accents count!
When spelling, make sure to include the article (le/la/les or un/une/des).
Accents
If you're using a Chromebook, change to the International US Keyboard:
- The ` key (left of the 1) plus the letter will make an accent grave, e.g è, ù, à.
- The ‘ key (left of the enter key) plus the letter will make an accute accent, or a cédille if you type a c, e.g. á, é, ç.
- The ^ key (Shift-6) plus a letter will make a circonflex, e.g. û, ê.
- The ” key plus a letter will make a tréma/umlaut, e.g. ü, ö.
