Overview

Introduction

Growing up, you likely didn't realize you were learning about your regional history more than other regions. For me, growing up in Minnesota, I learned far more about the history and regional geography of Minnesota. Think about where you grew up, you probably can tell others far more about good locations to visit, regional parks, areas to avoid, etc. than you could tell me about a couple of counties' coast line in the Pacific northwest! 

When you grow up, you automatically start to learn about the local geography. In France, students and children learn about their regions starting early in school.

Objectives

Following the completion of the second module, you will be able to... 

• compare and contrast a French region with where the learner lives in French in clear, organized connected sentences generally understood by those accustomed to the writing of non-natives with 85% accuracy in 50 minutes or less
• describe what the learner will do in a region in French in clear, organized connected sentences generally understood by those accustomed to the writing of non-natives with 85% accuracy in 50 minutes or less
• identify geographical French regions
